Families

Baby Charlotte

In 2013 I had the pleasure of photographing Katherine and Matt's beautiful wedding, and this month I was invited back to photograph their adorable daughter Charlotte. There were lots of smiles as five-month-old Charlotte hung out with her parents, read some books (one of her favourite pastimes) and walked to the park to enjoy some late afternoon sun. This is one lovely family, and I wish them lots of happiness in the years to come x

Wan Family Shoot - Holidaying in Melbourne

Last weekend my mother and I had the pleasure of meeting the Wan family in Melbourne (Hon-bing, Sui-ping, Joanna and Christy). This beautiful family were holidaying in Australia and had asked me to come along and capture some memories of their time in Melbourne, and to commemorate the 32nd wedding anniversary of Hon-bing and Sui-ping. We had a wonderful time walking around the city, seeing the sights and having coffee and cake in one of Melbourne's laneways. This family were so friendly and lovely, and meeting them definitely gave me more of a desire to visit their home place, Hong Kong. Thanks to my very talented mother Fiona who came along and captured some of the photos that are featured in this post. And a big congratulations to Hon-bing and Sui-ping on their 32nd wedding anniversary x

Engagement / Family Shoot, Brooker Park (Warragul)

I travelled to my hometown of Warragul recently to meet Claire and Josh, and their gorgeous kids Reeve and Ava. Claire and Josh will be getting married next year, and we arranged for their engagement session to include the kids. It was a beautiful Spring day, so we walked to the local parks and enjoyed some late afternoon sunshine while Reeve and Ava played hide and seek and ran around the playground and parklands. Claire and Josh told me a little bit about how they met (they went to high school together), and how Josh proposed (on Claire's birthday)! It was awesome to meet them, and I'm really looking forward to photographing their Gippsland wedding next year.

Esther, Simon and Tilly

Gorgeous Matilda (Tilly) came into the world back in February and at five months old she is a sweet and inquisitive little bub. I recently had the pleasure of getting to know her and her lovely parents Esther and Simon at their new family home in Moonee Ponds. We had a coffee, walked to the local park and spent some time in Tilly's room watching her play. I just heard from Esther that Tilly starting rolling over this week - it won't be long and she'll be running around that park. Adorable!

Mordiallic Beach

Yesterday I spent some quality family time with sisters Ally & Jane, and their kids Thomas & Charlotte (Jane) and Mia (Ally). It was a really foggy morning and the beach looked completely surreal to begin with - the water and clouds merged together so you couldn't see the horizon. Soon the sun come up, however, and it was a bright winter's day. The kids had a ball playing on the sand and dipping their toes in the water, and then we all retired to fish & chips at the pub across the road. Thanks for a lovely morning family :-) x
